The following buildings are currently being monitored:

• Site 1 - 143 Apartments, Waterloo, NSW - Started Monitoring - August 13th 2019 - LIVE

• Site 2 - 112 Apartments, Milson’s Point, NSW - Started Monitoring - October 17th 2019 - LIVE

• Site 3 - 330 Apartments, Manhattan, Canberra ACT - Started Monitoring - December 14th 2019 - LIVE

• Site 4 - 115 Apartments Braddon, Canberra ACT - Started Monitoring - January 17th 2020 - LIVE

The following building has finished being monitored:

• Site 5 - 145 Apartments, Newcastle, NSW - 2018 BETA Test Site - testing was for 2 weeks Only -Testing Complete

Phase 1b - Residential: Heated Water

The following building/s are currently being monitored:

• Site 2 - 123 Apartments, Milson’s Point, NSW - Started Monitoring - Novemeber 2022 - Currently LIVE

In conjunction with cold water monitoring, heated water consumption and temperature delta is being monitored at delivery and return lines.


Results - Phase1a: Cold Water

The chart below shows 99th percentile and peak flowrates observed for each of the four cold-water monitoring sites.

Demonstrating the current Australian plumbing standard over-estimates the 99th percentile flowrate by 220-320%, leading to significant oversizing of cold-water plumbing networks in residential buildings.
